Battling Records of the Chosen One

Battling Records of the Chosen One

In the vast and boundless continent Cangtu, there were ancient sects governing the Ten Old Domains, unworldly immortal clans beyond the Blue Sky, and primordial demon gods dominating the dark abyss that together created a great number of brilliant stories over the long course of the history.

In this very world, there was a boy, named Lin Xun, who embarked on his journey to the pinnacle of strength alone through cultivation and spiritual tattoo inscribing.

Escaping alone from the Mine Prison where he had been living since he was adopted by Master Lu, Lin Xun knew nothing about his identity but the little information his adopter, Master Lu, had told him. With two ancient spiritual tools Master Lu gave to him before the destruction of the Mine Prison, Lin Xun started his journey to Ziyao Empire, where he is supposed to find out the truth of his lost Spiritual Vessel and the person who slaughtered his family, leaving him orphaned.

Will he be able to unlock the mysteries of the two magic treasures, unveil the secrets of his identity and create a legend of his own?

I read around 2800 chapters. The story starts of a bit slow but picks pace slowly. There is always a constant mystery one after another which makes the story interesting. The cultivation system is also interesting up to a point. There were many things which didn’t make sense as far as I remember. I don’t remember much as it has been a long while.
Definitely a good binge read worth trying.

Decent read. Got to around chapter 400+ before I got tired. Lots of cliches which gets boring overtime. The thing that ruined it for me though is mostly when he got to the Forbidden City and took on the role of his Clan heir. Was kinda disappointed at that point. Anyway, decent read. MC is all over the place in regards to attitude.

Decided to read it again and skipped a bit of the starting new in the Forbidden City part. It’s a good read. Decent enough. Read up till 2100+ chapters. Skipped some chapters but not that much. Reading till 2100+ chapters, everything seems to be fated. His destiny is chosen for him. Every major events seemed predicted. It feels like the MC is just a puppet in the overall part of the novel up to what I read. I’ll take a brake for now.

I don’t know how but somehow I managed to read till 2200+ chapters. Maybe I skim and skipped quite a bit. Anyway, the quality of the novel dropped quite a lot in the layers chapter. The interactions are sooo basic and the fight scenes sucks a lot. And the expect the MC to be praise for every little thing a lot later on. Even when he told them he killed an enemy 5 level higher then him, later on when he is about to fight someone and killed them even though they were 4 level ahead of him, it somehow is incredible and they didn’t think it was possible. So… do we pretend he did not just informed them a few chapters ago that he can kill people much higher level them him? And him just appearing as a last minute hero is dramatically turned into something praiseworthy and as if he is the only hope they have of something.

All in all, the early chapters are quite enjoyable. Past 1000 though, good luck. I wouldn’t recommend it.
