repeated upload? I’m sure comrademao already have this novel upload before
This is Cautious Hero in Cultivation/Martial Arts context. Besides that however, is light-hearted comedy and well-detailed characterization. While it reuses the same plot developments over and over again (offend/encounter a higher realm opponent, train for years and years refusing to confront the enemy, only to instakill them once they meet), it does not seem to get old due to rich cast of reasonably unique and funny side characters.
When should you not read this novel? If you like hot-blooded MCs, expect intense romance (there is romance, do not be misled by this remark, but its used more to compliment MC’s cautious nature) and admire the dao of invincibility. Basically the MC cultivates dao of Immortality/Longevity as opposed to Invincibility. Despite being cowardly and expectly weak Dao Heart, he has never suffered a loss. Personally, misunderstandings as a plot device always disgusts me, but this novel manages to use it to a tee that it does not become annoying. 4/5

If you are not a reader of Chinese descent, read chapter 599 before thinking about reading it, I have nothing against Chinese mythology. I’ve read a few books before with a lot of emphasis on Chinese mythology, but in this book you can feel the Chinese fanaticism about it, and I’ve read it all the way to chapter 599 with no problem, but the author really licked all the chineses’ feet and emphasized how the Chinese, not Asians but Chinese are a different race from us “the apes” and we were only able to evolve because a Chinese “immortal” destroyed the dinosaurs and brought his Chinese people to populate the Planet earth
Totally agree with you on this.
The bigger wonder here is how you could read such a boring thing to chapter 599. It’s basically taking a good concept and making it horrible by constant repetition. The system is shit too, keeps on randomly gifting stuff here and there without any requirements. I skipped so much of it and still couldn’t reach 300 chapters and didn’t find the imaginary chinese bootlicking maybe because I skipped over those too.
Thanks for reminder. Went to check and basically what you said.
