So, this is one of my favourite novel this year. I dropped it at chapter 140 or something. I am now just waiting for 500 chapters to pile up so I can read it in one go.
I don’t remember much, but the setting and the MC is one of the best that came out this year. The world building is decent too but the good part is the farming and the rewards that he gets.
No showing off to brainless brain-dead side characters every third chapter to amaze them.
It is not on the level of other good novels like er gen, daoist gu…. But after reading garbage all year long, this was one of the very few which was actually pretty decent..

I stopped reading the review after the first paragraph, the fact alone that Fellow Daoist can like it this far is enough for me to get started. π

You lie… I have read this book… MC doesn’t look for trouble but the world revolves around him π
It was pretty decent, considering that it mainly focuses on low-key activities, planting/farming/husbandry it’s a slow burn.
I do enjoy the fact that there wasn’t a female appearing out of nowhere entrapping the MC. Also the arcs where the MC is slowly establishing relations with his fellow pets is endearing. But because of the lack of action (not saying there is none) that you’d normally find in cultivation novels I’d place it in a slice-of-life genre.
Speaking of pets, his carp deffo gonna evolve into dragon someday so what about that cat?
I read it on another site..This is a low key, slice of life cultivation novel..Little to no action. No romance. World building evolve along Mc cheat..Not my taste..

Not really, but the name sounds something from old era of Sword Emperor novels.
62 chapters so far, nothing good nothing bad, straight plot which is easy to guess hut I haven’t see its plagiarised version so far, so you can call it original to some extent.
MC haven’t made any dumb move till now, every time he chooses to not do something, that something turn out to be dangerous and kife threatening (obviously, to show his decision was right…).
I never really understood how his cheat works, I mean he grows plants and get rewards for it but the thing is, there is absolutely no connection between the plants and rewards, even their attributes aren’t same, which is a little unreasonable.
Aside from that, there has been nothing much that can hold me in, if there was nothing else to read, I will surely read it but right now, I have around 600 chapters to explore from “Gou Cultivates Immortals In the Chaotic World of Demons and Martial Arts” so gonna put it on hold, bookmark it, and leave the reviewing to you guys.
To all readers, as a certified poison tester I highly recommend this as this is my daily read from 1-3 months ago in 69shu along with Lord Harland.
It is best for those who wish to take it slow and looking for stable not-so-brain-dead mc.
The plus for this novel is its stable release rate and the ability to elaborate plants, monsters and other profession while keeping it interesting enough to not abandon it.
Nothing so mind busting at the latest chapter and its probably the novel where you detoxifies yourself from typical instant gratification type novel expected from chinese fantasy novel.

Nah, there has been similar novels with slightly different cheats and names, so we occasionally get the feeling that we have read it before. I tried a few like this before too, but this one at least isn’t thag cliche, albeit less eventful.
From the start guy just keep farming and farming and farming. The only thing that can bind you to this novel is what reward he is going to get after harvest. There is nearly no mystery or anything you should be paying attention. So even if you start at chapter 100 everything is same. There is no support character whatsoever. It is like mc living in a game world, orher people are just npcs. They exist for some time but then they are not important at all.
Simply, too plain, there is no excitement.
Its a novel with a farming genre.
I believe you judge a fish with its ability to climb, the novel is simply not designed for action packed plot, and therefore “plain”.
Even by standards of farming genre it’s medicore as hell.
It’s not about action, the plot of the novel itself is too bland. There’s nothing exciting in it. It’s poorly and lazily written
I am not looking for action. Just some mystery, something which can make you curious about would have suffice. Hell i even wanted arrogant young masters, even though i hate that kind of novels, for some movement, something just a little bit out of the box. But no! we must continue to farm. I thought eventually at some point author would enter main plot or something. But farming is main plot my bad.
Guys if you don’t have anything to read try MOL(mother of learning) it is goodπ
i am not peta or anything but even i feel uncomfortable about spirit beast in this novel like the crane group, flood dragon and armadillo group
